Malopolska

The southeastern corner of today's Poland is known as Malopolska Region. However, the border of this region can be defined differently depending on one's field of expertise. For a dialectologist it would be situated more northwestward, whereas a historian would describe it as stretching farther east. Indeed, depending on one's point of reference, such as ethnological consideration, the boundaries of Malopolska may be considered as exceptionally fluid.
