Bartek Sabela

Bartek Sabela, born in 1982, is a multifaceted Polish journalist, photographer, and activist renowned for his compelling storytelling and investigative work. His career is marked by a series of impactful publications that explore social, political, and environmental issues across different regions of the world. Sabela's dedication to uncovering hidden truths and giving voice to the marginalized has earned him numerous awards and recognition in the field of journalism.

Since his debut in 2013 with the book Może (morze) wróci, which narrates the story of Uzbekistan and the disappearing Aral Sea, he has continuously expanded his literary portfolio. His work Wszystkie ziarna piasku sheds light on the last African colony, Western Sahara, and was honored with the Africa Award in 2015. In 2017, he published Afronauci, a report about a Zambian man who dreamed of being the first person on the Moon, and in 2023, his book Wędrówka tusz investigates the industrial animal farming industry, winning the Grand Press Award for Reportage Book of the Year.
