Ewa Madeyska

Ewa Madeyska, born in 1971 in Białystok, is a distinguished Polish author and academic with a rich background in humanities. She holds a doctorate in human sciences and has made significant contributions as a literary critic, novelist, playwright, screenwriter, editor, and creative writing lecturer. Her educational journey includes studies at the University of Wrocław in Polish philology, the Film School in Łódź focusing on screenwriting, and a postgraduate course in art therapy at the Polish Erickson Institute in Łódź.

Madeyska's creative and scholarly pursuits have earned her international recognition, notably in 2011 when she received the Dagny international creative scholarship awarded by the Willa Decjusza Association. She has participated in various prestigious literary festivals and forums, including the "Dagny – Romans Kultur" Literary Festival, the Writers' Forum in Lviv, and the "Kapittel" Freedom of Speech Festival in Stavanger.

Since 2010, she has been actively conducting creative writing workshops and has taught scenariopisarstwo (screenwriting) at the Creative Writing Course at the Institute of Literary Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. She also imparts her knowledge in creative writing at the School of Master Writers in Collegium Civitas, focusing on novel and short story writing.

• Podróż na północ: An anthology of new Polish and Norwegian literature, where she contributed the short story "Alergia," highlighting her international literary connections.
