Adam Boniecki

Adam Boniecki MIC, born in 1934, is a distinguished Polish priest, journalist, and author, known for his deep engagement with social, cultural, and religious issues. He studied philosophy at both the University of Warsaw and the Catholic University of Lublin. Since 1964, he has been a dedicated member of the editorial team of "Tygodnik Powszechny," a prominent Polish weekly magazine. Boniecki served as the editor-in-chief of the magazine and has been actively involved in shaping its editorial direction. His extensive experience includes organizing the Polish edition of "L’Osservatore Romano" in Rome and authoring notable works such as the "Kalendarium życia Karola Wojtyły" and the "Notes rzymski," which document his decade-long work at the Vatican. In 1993, he became the provincial superior of the Marian Fathers, and in 1999, he took on the role of editor-in-chief of "Tygodnik Powszechny." His contributions to religious journalism and Polish cultural life are widely recognized and appreciated.
