Hanka Grupińska

Hanka Grupińska, born as Anna Grupińska, is a distinguished Polish journalist, author, and publicist. She graduated from the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań with a degree in Polish studies. Her career began in the 1980s when she actively collaborated with underground publications such as "Czas" and "Czas Kultury", the latter of which she also helped establish. Her main scholarly focus revolves around the history of Polish Jews, especially during the Holocaust. Grupińska has served as a cultural attaché at the Polish embassy in Tel Aviv from 1991 to 1993. She has developed a notable body of work, including projects like “Pamiętanie Peerelu. Opowieści o wspólnych i indywidualnych sposobach na system: 1956-1989”. In addition to her writing, she maintains active collaborations with radio station TOK FM and "Gazeta Wyborcza".
